What do I do when I am stuck in an animation?
There are several ways that you will get stuck in an animation that is by design, you just need to know the correct way to stop it. Here are some possible explanations:
1) If you are not a secondary owner on the collar and an owner puts you into an animation, you will not be able to .release yourself. You must have an owner release you or use your safeword (see the .safeword command in the help notecard).
2) Your arms are stuck behind your back (.bind), your hands are stuck in front of your chest (.pony) or you are stuck crawling on the ground (.crawl). These are special AO animations, and you revoke them with the .walk command.
3) If you are in an animation and reset the collar, the animation will not stop. If you are in this circumstance pull down the Tools menu at the top of the screen and pick the Stop All Animations menu item.

My collar is not responding to commands, what do I do?
There are several reasons this could be happening:
1) The prefix has been changed and you are using the wrong prefix. To figure out what your prefix is type *prefix in public. All the Amethyst Collars nearby will answer, so find your response. If your collar does not respond continue to #2.
2) Your collar has been Opened and the important scripts have been removed. To see if this is the case, right click the collar and pick Edit. If there is a More >> button press it and look in the Contents tab. It is in alphabetical order so scroll down to the Cs and see if Collar Script exists. If Collar Script does not exist then you need to locate Collar Script and Leash Script in your inventory. Send these scripts and the collar back to Amethyst Rosencrans for a replacement.
3) The public listener has been removed. If .channel -1 has been issued the public listener has been removed and the collar is only listening on the alternate channel. In this case you need to remember the alternate channel and use that or reset the collar. See the General / What do I do if I get a Stack/Heap Collision? section for instructions on how to reset your collar.

Do you sell copyable collars?
Yes but there are several sets of options with drawbacks. First we'll start with the limitations and pluses of all the copyables I sell.
1) Copyables are keyed (set to a particular primary owner). I do not sell copyables for resale.
2) Rekeying costs $500 each time. (for upgrading or changing prekeyed secondaries)
Unless the event that required the rekeying was my fault.
Next there are several ways I can make the collar:
1) Classic Style
2) Slim Style
3) Posture Style (extra $2000L)
4) Pet Style (extra $2000L)
5) Spiked Style (extra $2000L)
6) Custom Copyable (You give me a full permission collar and I install the scripts in it)
What I need to make you a collar (Put this information on a notecard and send it to me):
1) The primary owner's name and key.
2) The names and keys of any secondary owners (if any.... see above)
3) The style from the previous section.
4) A list of plugins or other things to be preloaded in the collars (if any).
What needs to be done then:
1) When I have free time I will do the labor to key the scripts using the information provided (usually takes 15 mins).
2) The primary owner (and any secondaries if necessary) will be asked to come and test the keyings.
3) After the collar is shown to be functional, you will pay the $5000L and I will deliver the copyable collar.
Post delivery notes:
1) It is wise to only give collars with the copy attribute set to people needing it, like slavers.
Slaves should get collars with copy turned off.
2) While the collars will be copyable in your inventory, if you rez them they will inherit the permissions of the contents and no longer be copyable.

Why is my avatar floating/sinking when playing animations?
The collar does not control positioning of the avatar, all it does is play the animation. Most animations are designed for the default SL avatar shape. If your avatar shape has disproportionate hip location compared to the default SL avatar you will either float off the ground or sink into it. Shoes can also affect the location of the hips, so high heel shoes often cause the avatar to float more than normal. The two available solutions are:
1) Adjust your avatar shape to find a more suitable hip position for the existing animations
2) Have custom animations made for your avatar shape.

The leash is not working, what do I do?
First edit your collar and make sure that both Amethyst Bell Script and Leash Script are present and set running. These two scripts are required for the leash to function. Second it is possible that the Leash Script is out of sync with the collar script. Changing the contents of the collar should cause Collar Script to reannounce the owner list to the plugins and Leash Script. Finally remove the owner and readd them to force the scripts back into sync.
What do I do if my item turns no modify?
First of all, due to the way Second Life works, your item may say (no modify) in inventory when in fact it is modifiable. The only way to truly tell if it is modifiable is to follow these steps:
1) Drop the item on the ground
2) Right click the item and pick Edit
3) Click the More >> button
4) Activate the General tab
5) Look at the text below the words "Permissions:"
If it says "You can modify this object." the modify permission is still intact. Nothing needs to be done.
If it says "You cannot modify this object." you have lost modify permission and unfortunately the only way to rectify the situation is with item replacement.
To obtain a replacement send an IM to Amethyst Rosencrans stating you've followed these instructions and requesting a replacement. You must be the original purchaser of the item to obtain a replacement. Someone will contact you and you will be asked to send the item back.

What do I do if I get a Stack/Heap Collision?
Resetting your item in case of a Stack/Heap Collision. Since Second Life 1.13 this seems to have become a common occurrance. This error is caused when one of the scripts in the item runs out of memory. This can be caused by malicious scripts in your sim, bugs in the item and bugs in Second Life. In the unfortunate event that you run into one of these, you can reset your item by doing the following:
Right click the item. Pick "Edit" from the pie menu. Pull down the "Tools" menu from the top of the screen and choose "Reset Scripts in Selection."
If this option is grayed out your item has lost modify permission. This can happen by passing the collar between people after editing it's properties or by bugs in Second Life. The only fix for this is item replacement.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?
You can return or exchange transferable items within 7 days of the original purchase. (sorry, non-transferable items cannot be returned)
Only the original purchaser can get a refund or an exchange.
To get an exchange or refund please make a folder in your inventory with your name along with refund or exchange in the folder's name.
Put the item to be refunded or exchanged in the folder and then drag and drop the folder onto Amethyst Rosencrans' profile.
If you ask for a refund after getting support for the product, a fee of $100L will be charged for every 5 minute period of support up to the cost of the item. This fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
The items must be complete to receive a refund, or at least contain the most important parts.

Do you have a vendor I can put out to sell your items with a commission?
Not currently due to inherent risks associated with these type systems. If a good solution presents itself to do this I will implement it in the future.
PLEASE NOTE --
The Amethyst Network Vendor system is not this! This is for selling YOUR items not mine.

I am getting a "License failure" message with an item, what does this mean?
Sensations 3.6 uses a different system for validating items, there are 3 ways a license can be valid:
1) Licensed scripts obtained from Amethyst match the creator of the object.
2) Object and scripts contained are no copy or no transfer.
3) Creator of the object is the owner of the object. (for developers)
Therefore if you install the collar scripts in an object that you did not create and it is fully permissive then the scripts will not function properly. If you change the permissions on the object to no copy or no transfer and pass it to someone else it should function.
Please note, if passing back and forth between people it needs to be rezzed by the intermediary person for the next owner permissions to take effect.

The main prim of my item does not change when I use the Color... menu, what is wrong?
Old items used to have color change rules built into the scripts. This information has been removed along with the old licensing system, therefore the rules for color changing are now stored in the prims of the object. Sub-prims use their object name for this information, the main prim of the object has this information stored in the object description. The updaters now contain the rules for old items to be changed, and they try to make the changes to the object. However if the item is worn while the update is in progress, then the changes to the prims may not remain when the item is taken off. Therefore if your item's main prim is not changing color like it should, take the following steps:
1) Drop the item on the ground.
2) Edit the item.
3) Set the object description (on the general tab) to be the type of the item.
(If you don't know the type, look at the contents and open the Settings notecard)
4) Take the object back into inventory.
The item's main prim should now change colors properly.

I purchased an item and it did not arrive, what do I do?
1) Check your SL transaction history on the web page to make sure the money actually transfered. Take note of the transaction ID it may be needed later.
2) If you receive any error message, from either SL or the vendor please make note of them as well.
3) After 10 minutes from the time of purchase if you don't have your item, then clear your SL cache by doing the following:

c) Log out of SL and log back in.
d) Open your inventory and type the name of the item into the search field, SL will refetch your inventory.
e) After the inventory is done loading look for the missing item.
How do I install plugins in an item?
If the plugin script to be installed is full permissions then it can be installed while the item is worn. If the plugin is not fully permissive (such as the RestrainedLife plugin) then the item must be dropped on the ground before the plugin can be installed.
1) Right click the item and pick Edit.
2) Drag and drop the plugin script into the contents tab of the item.
The plugin will initialize and the new functionality will be enabled.

What is your item replacement policy?
As a matter of necessity due to the unreliability of Second Life to successfully complete transactions, items will be replaced if a reasonable case is made:
I reserve the right to decline a replacement or refund.
Reasons why a replacement will be declined:
1) The item has already been replaced.
2) The customer is rude or disrespectful.
3) The customer has been involved in theft or griefing.
4) The customer cannot provide information requested about the transaction.
Other reasons not specified under unusual circumstances and this list is subject to change at any time.

How do I stop or quiet Sensations green text?
The publicly seen green text is controlled by the "spatial" setting. This can be changed permanently in an item by Editing the item and the contained Settings notecard. Change the "spatial" line to something like:
spatial|silent
This can also be changed temporarily for worn items using the Sensations HUD. Make sure you are on either the Sensations (Core) or Mini layouts. Then touch the Sensations logo and pick Items... then Silent.

Why do I get multiple items when I update?
Older items which did not have a ProductID may have had the same Product and Type of other items we sell, the update system cannot distinguish between them without the ProductID. Additionally some items may have been superseded by other items. In these cases we send the latest version of each matching item.
After updating to current versions which have been updated with a ProductID you will only receive one item that matches the ProductID of what you are updating.
(For example the sculpted genitals are now included in the starter kits, so updating sculpted genitals you will receive a starter kit which includes the latest version of these items).

How do I add an Xcite! sound pack to my Sensations genitals?
Right click and Open the Xcite! sound pack and Copy to Inventory.
Drop your Sensations genitals on the ground, you may need to use the View -> Highlight Transparent menu item to be able to see some of the genitals.
Right click and Edit the genitals, drag and drop all the items from the sound pack's folder in your inventory into the contents of the genitals. (This should be a number sounds and notecards).
Double click the Settings notecard in the gentials to edit it. Scroll down to the bottom and edit the audio| line. Change the text after the | to be the same name as the Xcite! Audio notecard included in the pack. Save the notecard.
The genitals should reload automatically and play the sounds as you get aroused. Take the genitals back into your inventory and wear it. You are done.

Why are my genitals being censored in Adult regions?
The Sensations scripts needed to be updated to handle the new Adult region rating returned by SecondLife. Sensations genitals prior to version 4.5 will incorrectly censor genital text when in Adult regions because they think that Mature is the only region rating available to display the text.
Go to the Sensations Update Center and update your genitals, version 4.5 and later recognize Adult regions as valid for genitals text.

How do I use RestrainedLife with Amethyst and Sensations products?
Thanks to the RestrainedLife viewer, the latest version of the Collar, Cuffs and Sensations a new level of submission can be had in SecondLife. This is a how to guide to getting the most out of Amethyst and Sensations products if you want to submit completely.
There are three non-default options we will go over to make submission so much more rewarding for those who are up for it!
First are the RestrainedLife plugins used in conjunction with Marine Kelley's RestrainedLife viewer found here:
http://www.erestraint.com/realrestraint/
The RestrainedLife plugins are found in the Amethyst Plugins Box and Sensations Plugins Box in my vendors.
Install the Amethyst RestrainedLife Script into the Amethyst Collar. Install the Sensations RestrainedLife Plugin Script into the right wrist cuff of Amethyst Cuffs and any other bondage related Sensations items.
These plugins will allow your Collar, Cuffs, and Sensations items to be locked and to limit you as they should.
Log into SecondLife via the RestrainedLife viewer and this new functionality will be unlocked.
Second is the new non-consensual mode of the Amethyst Collar introduced in v6.
Enable non-consensual mode by issuing .safeword nc
Non-consensual mode means that you will not have a safeword to get out of positions your owner puts you into, and additionally the .owner and .newowner commands are disabled if you have an owner. Therefore, if you are using RestrainedLife you will not be able to free yourself from your owner and you will not be able to escape positions your owner puts you into.
Finally a little known but very useful option of the Amethyst Collar when used with Amethyst Cuffs or Sensations items, is called Sensations Owners:
Sensations Owners can be enabled by issuing .sensowner
Sensations Owners when enabled shares the owner list of the collar with any Amethyst/Sensations items. The items are automatically set "out of reach" so only the owners can use them.
Additionally with v4 of the cuffs and v3.6 of Sensations, any locks on Amethyst/Sensations items automatically become unpickable, so when locked only the keyholder or the primary owner on the collar is able to unlock the items.
So as you can see with these three options enabled and using the RestrainedLife viewer life can be very controlled and restricted. You will be stuck like that until your primary owner frees you... additionally v6 introduces the ability of the primary owner to give collar ownership to someone new. So ownership of your collar can be transfered against your will while you are still locked in it! Giving a whole new level of roleplay, ideal for auction type environments.
I hope everyone will enjoy the new possibilities this opens up, and I would like to extend my thanks to Marine Kelley for making this possible!

How do I enabled the Restraint... menu on my Sensations item?
After installing the Sensations RestrainedLife Plugin Script into your item (if you need to know how to do this read the installing plugins section) then edit the Settings notecard in the item and add the following line:
menu|true
The Restraint... menu will show up to others touching your item. If you want it to show up on your own menu as well then add:
style|self
to the notecard also.

I get an "update pending" message when I try to update, what does this mean?
This means that you requested an update and it did not complete cleanly. There are numerous reasons this can happen.
1) SL failed to deliver the updater box successfully.
2) You received the updater box but it failed to rez due to SL problems.
3) You received the box and left the update area to rez it.
4) You derezzed (took off, or took into inventory) the item between the time you clicked Update and when you rezzed the updater box.
What do you do now? IM Amethyst Rosencrans so she can reset the updater. You will not be allowed to update any items while one is pending.
